We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.
Most of our doctors provide the following services:
- Maternity clinics
- Contraceptive appointments
- Minor surgery services
- Child health/immunisations
- Travel clinic/immunisations
- Minor surgery procedures
- Asthma reviews
- Diabetes reviews
- Heart disease reviews
- Well woman clinics
- Cervical smear tests
These are by appointment at normal surgeries or in clinics. Some additional services are provided at the Brecon War Memorial Hospital.
Child health/immunisations, travel clinic/immunisations and minor surgery procedures (via referral) are done at Brecon (Ty Henry Vaughan) only. The asthma, diabetes, heart disease and well woman clinics, plus cervical smear tests, are conducted at both locations by appointment.
Medicals
All patients aged 75 years and over are offered an annual medical on request. All other patients may request a routine medical check every three years. The practice also offers private medicals by appointment for employment and insurance purposes.
Contraceptive services
A full range of services including coil and Implanon (contraceptive implant) fittings are provided by appointment with your doctor or nurse.
